We invite you to the conference entitled Challenges of Regional Social Policy in the Face of Humanitarian Crises, which will take place at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk on December 9, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (registration from 10:30 a.m.).
The event will provide a platform for discussion on current and priority issues in the field of social policy at both regional and national levels. During the conference, local government representatives, academics, social sector organizations, and public administration officials will share their perspectives on the social, political, and economic challenges we face in the context of the humanitarian and migration crisis in Poland.
The current pace of change and the geopolitical situation pose significant challenges for both local governments and the social sector. Following the pandemic, we are now confronted with another crisis driven by migration. Addressing it requires taking concrete actions and implementing systems and strategies that enable effective and long-term delivery of broadly understood humanitarian aid and integration policies in our region. To achieve this, closer cooperation between sectors and leaders of aid initiatives in the Pomeranian Voivodeship and across the country is essential.
