On October 25, 2024, the Migration Observatory was inaugurated, which will operate under the University of Gdańsk’s Centre for Sustainable Development.
Its aim is to integrate academic, research, and practical activities to foster a better understanding of migration and support the integration of migrants.
The Observatory’s areas of activity include:
🔹 Monitoring and analysis of migration data
🔹 Scientific research
🔹 Advisory services and consultations
🔹 Education and training
🔹 International cooperation
During the event, Marshal Mieczysław Struk, on behalf of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, signed a letter of intent to collaborate on a regional system for intercultural integration of people with migration experience and announced close cooperation with the Observatory.
