Multicultural Family Picnic – World Refugee Day 2025 in Słupsk

The Multicultural Family Picnic held on the occasion of World Refugee Day 2025 brought together hundreds of people in a spirit of integration and intercultural cooperation.

Integration, Diversity, and Community at the Heart of Pomerania

On June 21, 2025, the city of Słupsk hosted the Multicultural Family Picnic celebrating World Refugee Day 2025. This special event gathered local residents, families, NGOs, and institutions supporting migrants, creating a unique celebration of integration and solidarity.

International Performances and Shared Celebration

Artists from Moldova, Ukraine, and Colombia took to the stage, delivering energetic concerts and dance performances. The Colombian performers, in particular, invited the audience to join in the fun, fostering an atmosphere of openness and cultural exchange.

Family, Educational, and Relaxation Zones

The Multicultural Family Picnic in Słupsk was not only about music and culture—it also offered a wide range of activities for entire families:

  • a children’s activity zone (bouncy castles, contests, bicycle competitions),

  • relaxation in a green zone with deck chairs,

  • a diverse food offering,

  • information stands run by Pomeranian institutions and NGOs.

Partnership and Joint Action for Integration

The event was organized by the Self-Government of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the City of Słupsk, and its success was the result of close cooperation with over 40 partners, including NGOs, universities, public institutions, consulates, and media outlets.

This initiative marks another step toward building an open, multicultural Pomerania that supports people with refugee and migration experience.
