On October 13–14, 2025, a series of training meetings began with the aim of strengthening the competencies of the Pomeranian Welcome Center staff. The training focused on one of the most important challenges of our time—migration in the 2025–2030 perspective.
During the intensive training, participants deepened their knowledge in key areas:

Migration in the 2025–2030 perspective: megatrends, risks, and opportunities – an analysis of contemporary migration processes and their impact on support institutions.

Migration strategies: from document to practice – translating national and regional strategy provisions into concrete actions in the day-to-day work of CICs.

Understanding the drivers and psychology of migration – reflection on the complexity of migration decisions and the emotional and ethical dimensions of working with people with migration experience.

Human trafficking and contemporary forms of exploitation – developing competencies in identifying and responding to abuse and exploitation.

Migration and the system: tensions and interdependencies – analysis of institutional functioning in the context of migration policy and identification of areas requiring improved cooperation.
The meeting concluded with a session integrating participants’ knowledge and experiences, focused on developing professional self-awareness and planning further actions.
We would like to thank the Trainer for sharing her expertise, and all participants for their active involvement, openness, and commitment. We believe that the knowledge gained and reflections developed will serve as a solid foundation for further competency development and even more effective support for people with migration experience.
