The European Day Against Human Trafficking

18 October 2025 – European Day Against Human Trafficking

🔴 Every year, thousands of people in different parts of the world fall victim to a crime that strips them of their freedom and right to self-determination. This phenomenon does not concern only distant countries—it also occurs in Poland.

⚫️ The victims are most often people in difficult life situations—young people, women, migrants, and those seeking work or a better life. They are often drawn into a web of deception through fake job offers, manipulation, or the abuse of trust.

🟡 In Poland, the system for combating human trafficking includes, among others, the Police, the Border Guard, government institutions, and non-governmental organizations.

👏 In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, a particularly important role is played by the Pomeranian Team for Combating Human Trafficking, which supports victims, coordinates assistance efforts, and conducts educational and preventive activities.

How can you help?
➡️ Pay attention to situations that raise your concern—someone may need support.
➡️ Do not ignore warning signs—often, a bystander’s reaction can save a life.
➡️ Educate others—awareness is the first step toward prevention.

🙏 Do not remain indifferent.
