The conference “Awareness of Threats as the Key to Safety. Institutional Cooperation for the Prevention and Combating of Human Trafficking in the Pomeranian Voivodeship,” organized by the Pomeranian Voivodeship Team for Counteracting Human Trafficking, is now behind us.

The event was opened by Beata Rutkiewicz, the Pomeranian Voivode; Agnieszka Baranowska, Member of the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship; Rear Admiral of the Border Guard Andrzej Prokopski, Commander of the Maritime Border Guard Unit in Gdańsk; and Inspector Anna Kos, First Deputy Commander of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Gdańsk.

The conference provided an important platform for exchanging experiences and best practices among representatives of various institutions involved in counteracting human trafficking. The importance of cooperation, education, and raising public awareness as key elements of effective prevention was strongly emphasized.

During the meeting, we had the opportunity to present the “Pomorskie Welcome Center” project, which offers significant support to people with migration experience by facilitating access to essential assistance and information, as well as supporting their integration.
