Joint meeting of partners of the Pomeranian Cooperation Platform for Foreigners in the Labour Market and members of the Pomeranian Council for Regional Migration Policy

On 27 March 2026, a joint meeting was held bringing together partners of the Pomeranian Cooperation Platform for Foreigners in the Labour Market and members of the Pomeranian Council for Regional Migration Policy. The event provided an opportunity for an in-depth discussion on current challenges and future directions related to the presence of foreigners in the regional labour market.

During the meeting, the current situation of migrants in the region was presented, with particular focus on wage analysis and employment trends. The most common irregularities in the employment of foreigners were also discussed, especially those that have become apparent following the legal changes introduced in 2025. Attention was drawn to the need to further strengthen informational and educational activities aimed at both employers and employees in order to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and to improve employment standards.

An important part of the meeting was the presentation by the “Pomorskie Welcome Center” team, which shared conclusions from the first months of operation of the Foreigners Integration Centres in Gdańsk and Słupsk. Their role as first-contact and support points for foreigners was highlighted, offering comprehensive assistance in the field of integration and access to the labour market. Plans for 2026 were also presented, including further activities under the “Pomorskie Welcome Center” project.

The Pomeranian Cooperation Platform is an initiative of the Self-Government of the Pomorskie Voivodeship aimed at strengthening dialogue and cooperation between labour market partners and institutions involved in the employment of foreigners. Its goal is to develop service standards for migrants and employers, while supporting their integration and effective functioning in the regional labour market.

We would like to thank all participants for their presence, engagement, and valuable contributions to the discussion. Joint efforts and the exchange of experience are key to the continued development of an effective regional migration policy.
