World Refugee Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2000 and is observed annually on June 20. The day aims to raise awareness of the situation of millions of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to armed conflicts, persecution, human rights violations, or humanitarian crises.
It is an opportunity to express solidarity, respect, and support for refugees, as well as to draw attention to the challenges they face while rebuilding their lives in a new environment.
World Refugee Day also serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy, openness, and shared responsibility in creating a society where everyone can feel safe, regardless of their place of origin.
We would like to thank all individuals, organizations, and volunteers who support refugees every day in their integration process and in adapting to a new reality.
